The Masticators at the S.S. Lane Victory

This was the first time I've seen The Masticators and I really liked them (damn, that sounds familiar. Where have I heard that before). Actually, it was refreshing for a change to see Lisa be the instrument chameleon instead of Robbie. After finishing up the drums for Kickstand, she took over on lead guitar and lead vocals on the Masticators.

Severo was really rocking out on this set. In fact he was moving so much, I don't think I got a single shot where he's in focus, even when other people in the shot are. Also, during this set I realized that by climbing up to the next deck, you could get around behind the band and get a shot down at the drummer showing the whole kit. Most gigs, I get almost no pix of the drummer because they're buried way in back, so tonight I took a lot of pictures of the drummers. (It's drummers night on the Lane Victory - wooooop wooooop).

So at this point, I'm thinking, "Heck, I'd have paid ten bucks just to see these two bands, not to mention the free beers." And the heavyweights were yet to come.
