Kim Fox has such a good voice. Usually the crowd at Goldfingers
talks right through the band, causing consternation for some
artists (e.g. Julianna Raye when I saw her here). But when Kim
started singing, the crowd seemed to hush a bit, drawn into
the sultry lushness of her voice. I videotaped Candy Pants, just
for the audio, but now I wish I'd recorded Kim's set as well,
as I love her new songs like Dwarf Star, Thin Skinned
Jimmy and the slow song she closed the set with (I Tread
Lightly? I'll Be Gone??). I sure hope there's a new
cd coming out soon.
Linda Good joined Kim once again on Guitar and Keyboards and wonderful harmonies. In case you didn't get the "Bellybone" comment from the Highland Grounds show (I had one person ask me about it), Linda is Spanish for "beautiful". Thus in French "beautiful" is "belle" and "good" is "bon", so "Linda Good" = "Beautiful Good" = "Belle Bon", or Bellybone. OK, so it's a stupid linguist joke, at least I didn't use a stupid mathemetician's joke. :-) Enjoy the pictures - |
