The Julies at Highland Grounds

Excellent set by the Julies. Actually, it was only the "sensitive" Julies that played, since this was a toned down Highland Grounds set. It's the first time I've seen them play, but Julie tells me they have a much harder edge when they play at a regular club with her full band, in which Roy plays drums.

For this set, they did one cover (She Talks to Rainbows by the Ramones) and the rest of the songs were humorous. I remember they did a song called Eggs and a song about PMS, but my favorite was a song called Dog Boy. I resisted the urge to howl during Dog Boy, but Julie said to go ahead and howl, so if you hear someone howling through Dog Boy at a Julies concert, it's probably me. :-)
