Walter & the Dairy Kings closed the set, so they had to sit around and wait through all those other great bands (boo hoo). A person can get mighty thirsty what with all that rock-n-rollin' goin on, so they had to slake their thirst from the many kegs. Of course, that just loosened `em up to let the songs flow right out for their set. I think the biggest response from the audience was for Sinking Ships, which was kinda fatalistic of them, considering the setting. When they finished their set, one of the 00 Spies (I forget who) requested a Nick Lowe song for an encore, so they did What's So Funny `Bout Peace, Love, and Understanding. An excellent close to an excellent evening.
